I don’t know about you, but I hate wrinkles.
Between my eyebrows, they make me look angry. At the corners of my mouth, they make me look sad. Across my forehead, they make me look worried. Under my cheeks near my upper lip they make me look older than I feel. What can you and I do to erase wrinkles?
The most well known injectable filler materials are Juvéderm and Restylane. They get the job done – but for just one year. Then the body absorbs the hyaluronic acid and you’re back to square one.
In 2006, the FDA approved the first and only permanent injectable filler material called Artefill. The company changed hands and was renamed Bellafilll. It is the most studied and safest product of its kind. The problem – no one has ever heard of it.
It’s true that some doctors bad-mouth the product because they love the repeat wrinkle filler business. I am a true patient advocate – one and done is the best for my patients. Before I can inject Bellafill into your wrinkles, I need to do a tiny injection in your forearm like a TB test to make sure you aren’t allergic to the product.
Some people worry because Bellafill is permanent. That only is an issue if a little too much is injected, causing a raised area of skin. I easily correct this by feathering a thin layer of Bellafill around the spot until it blends in. Otherwise, permanent is awesome…
